Our Windows 2000 managed dedicated servers are engineered from the ground up to provide an ultra-stable platform for your web applications. With full support for ASP, ODBC database connectivity and the freedom to install your own software and extensions, these Windows 2000 servers meet the needs of the most demanding developer. If needed, PHP, MySQL & DotNet can be installed. The Managed Dedicated Server comes standard with our award winning control panel, as well as our mail & ftp servers.

Our servers are designed and built in house for maximum performance and reliability.

Secure Rack Mount Chassis & PSU Your server is installed in a secure, lockable cabinet.

2 IP Addresses
Two IP addresses are included as standard. An unlimited number of domain names may be hosted on one IP address. Additional IP addresses are however available for R70 per month

Windows 2000 Server Operating System The latest version of Microsoft's Windows 2000 Server operating system complete with all critical security updates is installed on your server. We take care of all windows updates.

IIS 5 Web Server
Internet Information Server version 5 is installed and configured on your server ready for immediate use. IIS 5 is capable of hosting hundreds of web sites and allows multiple sites to be hosted on one IP address.

FTP Server
Our customised FTP server enables you and your clients to transfer files to and from your server 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

SMTP Server
The installed SMTP mail server can be used by your scripts and programs to send email messages.

POP3 Server
POP3 Server is used to receive mail. It accomodates unlimited domains, email addresses, aliases and auto responders. We use RBL lists to reduce spam and all incoming mail are checked for viruses.

DNS Server
Microsoft DNS server enables you to control the DNS for your domain names, this is commonly referred to as a name server. Your have two IP addresses for two name servers on which to host your domain names. The managemanet of the DNS servers is done through our easy to use Control Panel.

SSL Secure Server Your server is supplied SSL ready allowing you to conduct secure transactions on your web site. All you need is to get your own secure certificate. If needed, we can assist in purchasing your own secure certificate.

Active Server Pages Active Server Pages is a Microsoft technology enabling the creation of dynamically generated web pages. It is an ideal platform for web based data access via an ODBC data source.

ODBC Database Connectivity
Configure your own ODBC data sources enabling data access from web based applications. Database platforms available as standard include Microsoft Access, dBase and Excel. MSSQL server can be installed as an optional extra.

Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions FrontPage 2000 servers extensions are installed on your server. This enables you and your customers to take advantage of the dynamic features and publication wizard in Microsoft's web page authoring software.

Your Own Nameservers
We configure your Nameservers each with their own unique IP address in the format ns.yourname.co.za on which to host your domain names. Your customers connect to ftp. hosteddomainname.co.za and mail.hosteddomainname.co.za to use their accounts on your server.

Remote Server Reboots
In the event that you need to reboot your server, this can be done at any time remotely.

Telephone/Email Technical Support If you should run into difficulty with your server, telephone and email technical support is available.

Intel CPU Our servers utilise high performance Intel processors. The processor is the heart of your server, the greater it's speed the faster your server will be and the greater load it will withstand.

RAM
Random Access Memory offers quick access to data. The greater the amount of RAM your server has available, the greater load it will withstand without a deterioration in performance.

Hard Disk
Your server uses its hard disk for the storage of your files and data. The larger the hard disk, the more web site and database files you server can store.

Data Transfer
An amount of data transfer is included with all of our dedicated servers. If you exceed your allowance, additional data transfer is from only 40 South African cents per mb.
